The build is for my cousin, he has set aside some cash for monitor/keyboard/mouse. Here is what I have after a few minutes of research.

Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 60$

Mobo: ASRock Z77 Extreme6 LGA 1155 142$

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz 230$

RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600 Free Upgrade 0$

GPU: EVGA GTX650 1GB 110$

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 75$

SSD: OCZ Agility SSD 128GB 0$ giving it to him

PSU: CORSAIR Builder Series CX500 500W 60$

Total 670$ without rebates. Any issues ya'll see? Stock cooling worries me a bit.

Microcenter has the i7-3770k for the same price if you're near one.

If you don't NEED the 6 go with the 4. I've seen it as low as $80 lately.

Spend an extra $50 and upgrade it. Intel stock sinks are shite.

Damn fine deal, but live in NOLA.

Thanks, I'll check some other sites, but newegg is doing a promo with the Mobo + RAM, the 4 does save 40 bucks though.

What is he trying to play? If your not stuck on intel I would consider getting an amd chip and upgrade to the 650ti since this is a budget build. That would even out the spending a bit more between your gpu and cpu since I assume this is for gaming.

Actually it will be used mainly for drawing programs such as CAD and normal use. He mentioned he does some rendering so he needs some power from the gpu.

Any recommendations for the cpu cooler for intel chips?

That's the one I was looking at too, have to make sure it fits in the case and mobo. I've made that mistake before.

I bought it to go with my extreme 4 so I can let you know if that's a problem in a week.
I don't think you will have a problem with the mobo since its for the correct socket but idk about the case.

650 vs 650ti is a huge difference.

Get the to for like 30 bucks more.

Up to about 700 with the 650ti and CPU cooling. Went the ASrock pro4 mobo. Any suggestions on a different mobo to cut the price a bit?

Go to the FX-8350 and mobo. Cheaper and equal performance, the extra money can go towards a better video card and cooling

If you don't have the budget for an SSD, at least get a WD Black. frick Seagate. High rate of failure in my experience.
