Bought players, pure and simple.

and I ain't saying what they do is right.. but if you gonna throw stones.. better get out that glass house...

actually the two schools giving the most "free rides".. .are irrelevant in football.

Question - If Episcopal had beaten you in the quarters, which resulted in an all-private semis of Evangel, Curtis, Calvary, and Episcopal, would you be screaming about how unfair everything is?

Episcopal damn near beat you and I'm trying to figure out if your ranting is limited to Curtis or about the fact that your boys were likely to lose somewhere along the way to a private no matter what.

That shite happens basically everywhere because the LHSAA doesn't ever say anything about it (yes not only do they not do anything about it they don't even warn people).....I know that Franklinton High has folks from Bogalusa going there now and playing football even as they did when they won the state title....when I was there not a single mf'er from Bog was welcome in that place

ETA: although it would have been nice to have had Erin Damond back then....he was steady whooping our arse. I think we played him and Toefield back to back in those days and gave up like near 1000 yds rushing in 2 games

When someone says, "that's not true, in my opinion", you known that person is unaware of the definition of "true", and thus his opinion should be disregarded.

they were a top 5 team all year... girl was living with parent in HC district.. but not parent that had custody..

ended up having to forfeit a season's worth of games the last week..

parent that had custody lived in another school district - although she didn't live with her - but i think that was the school that turned em in.

another thread was not needed. You are right the select schools are just talking crap. They aren't going anywhere. They really don't have any choice but to make it work. The other major sports are splitting up right behind this. If the selects could leave they would stop complaining and just leave. The reason for the complaining is panic over the whole situation.

I am from Winnfield. It was hard to see one of the
best teams in Winnfield's football history get
beat by one of the best teams that money could
buy - yes, John Curtis - in 2011. And for those
that count heads Winnfield had about 4 times as
many fans there as John Curtis. YEAH, SOUR GRAPES
