Not his prettiest moment, but for me, this was the zenith of US Soccer (although you could make an argument for the first half of the next match vs. Brazil.)

Collectively, CD9's injury is something we have yet to recover from IMHO.

goal vs Brazil
The happiest I've ever been as a US soccer fan. Oh how quickly that would end...

Nice to see Osvaldo Sanchez's shitty attempted slide tackle on Eddie Johnson captured for posterity.

That's one of the shittiest/most cynical things I've ever seen in a soccer match.

And even then, those teams will still have width to make it easier to do that.

yeah there is a reason alves is basically a winger on that team and not a back

they also retain 60%+ possession to keep it easy on their D, for that exact reason. barca plays real wide...they just don't swing in crosses all the time. they use width to recycle possession and stretch out Ds

My happiest moment is no doubt parading around the streets of Munich after landons goal to send us to the knockout round. So proud of the resolve when all looked dead. I still watch that 'worlds reaction to USA goal" on YouTube weekly

They better get him back or Mr German will be out as the USMNT manager.

Push the young guys , you dont have to push the Vets. in Germany the Vets have to be pushed or younger guys will take their spots. We dont have younger guys with Donavon or Demps ability.
