I'm telling you- Gonzaga is the real deal this season. I know I may sound biased because I live in Spokane and have seen almost all their games, but this is not a "cinderella, hope to upset a few teams" squad. They are stacked from PG to C and deserve a #1 seed.

They won't get past the Sweet 16.

This is the best team they've had since Morrison/Turiaf were there. I'm pulling for them but they'll get bounced in the Sweet 16 or Elite 8 at the very latest

This team doesn't have a real weakness. Sure, they have less "talented" players as the bigger schools, but they have balance at both sides of the floor.

And there's nothing wrong with that. In an upset-crazy tourney environment, making the Elite Eight is a solid, solid accomplishment. It's March Madness- no one gets a free pass to the Final Four. Even for the teams that make it, there are lucky "50-50" bounces of the ball or buzzer beater that squeaked them out on top.

It's also funny that some people think because some Gonzaga team four, five, ten years ago got bounced early, this year's team won't make a deep run. They have size, speed, seniority and play great defense. Gonzaga will be a tough out.

People saying this with certainty haven't seen them play. There are very few teams that can match their size.

I would say they have a better chance to make the Final Four than popular teams like Florida that rely way too much on outside shooting.

And that was after Few called the dogs off. I think at one point it was 72-29 or something. The scary thing is, Santa Clara isn't an awful team, either.

Yeah Olynyk, Pangos and Harris were benched after the first or second TV timeout in the second half.

Now that Gary Bell Jr. is playing well, perimeter defenders can't key on Pangos. Hell even Mike Hart made a few shots to keep Santa Clara honest.
