Maybe we should change the conversation to how many strikeouts our starting pitchers will get this season.

I don't see why 40 homers between the 4 of them is unrealistic.

I think Jacoby will eclipse 10. I also think Katz will eclipse 10. Jones has improved his power and discipline at the plate. I think Ross could hit 5-7. I think Bregman ends the year around 8-10. Again it's not unrealistic at all.

If y'all don't think Bregman has power, go watch some of his YouTube videos.

rhymes 8

40 home runs is unrealistic, but Rhymes hitting 8 is?? C'mon man...Rhymes will be lucky to have 5.

i've seen his homerun derby youtube clips. he can run one out of here but expecting him to hit 10 homeruns as a true freshmen is very unrealistic.

that was suppose to say katz not rhymes. the whole conversation is about katz, ross, jones, and bregman so you probably could have used context clues on that one and realized i accidentally typed rhymes.

It isn't an "expectation" dude. If you watch the kid's swing, he has raw power. The ball jumps off of his bat. It looks/sounds different coming off his bat because of the bat speed that he generates. He absolutely has the potential to do it. Will he? That remains to be seen, but it is very foolish to say he has no chance to hit 10.

Gotcha, I figured you were better than that

Why do you expect Katz to have a decrease in homers? I think he has a chance for more considering he has some protection in the lineup with Jacoby behind him right now.

- I wouldn't take the over on that. It's obviously more likely it won't happen, but to say its unrealistic I think is a bit far fetched. If those 4 have 40 or more, we will be in Omaha probably close to winning a national title.

Its just a natural thing. 13 homers is a career year for mason and players tend to not have back to back career years.

Makes sense, I don't think anyone is expecting Raph to hit .500 for more than half the season either.
