Football.

The money, the bragging rights, and the excitement.

I would take football easily over getting both baseball and basketball in a year.

Legit question here and I have to go with basketball even though I rarely attend basketball games and rarely miss baseball. Woulld like to see our Tigers win at least one title in all major sports.

I would take winless seasons for the next 10 yrs in basketball for one NC in football. I would take a permanent death penalty in basketball for one football NC.

OMG, there is some sport that exists besides "FOOTBALL"? Well, I never knew.

Sorry, but that is a no-brainer, football, of course!!!!!

See, here's what's frustrating about this very question: it shouldn't even be an option. Having a good basketball program will in no way detract from football or baseball. We as fans shouldn't have to pit one against the other.

The truth is, we have top-notch programs in football and baseball. Our basketball program SHOULD be right up there too, and don't give me that "it's a football school" argument. For one thing, we've established you can be a great player and come through LSU (Pete, Shaq, etc). For another, it isn't as though we have obscene academic standards which will cause players to fail out; LSU isn't like Stanford or Duke. Finally, our fan base would tailgate for a spelling bee if they decided to; it wouldn't be that hard to do so with basketball if the school can market it right.

Brady was a dumbass and a grump, but I remember seeing Brandon Bass's face on billboards around town. Surely Alleva has some ideas he brought from Duke. LSU used to be called the Deaf Dome once, so there's proof it can happen.

Well I agree with you , but its just a hypothetical. There really is no good reason LSU can't be good at basketball.

This, but baseball titles are a nice consolation prize.

Can any of your former students actually remember getting turned away from the Assembly Center because the student section was full? The SS used to be rockin' back-in-the-day.

The one I always said was that I am a Saints fan but I would take a 0-16 season every year if it means LSU goes with an undefeated national championship each year.
