They could cancel basketball at EVERY level and I'd never miss it! Hope JJ wins and puts LSU back on the map, but it makes no difference in my day. If they make the final four, call me, if I'm not busy I may watch the game. Just not a basketball fan.

LSU baseball fan= Tennessee women's basketball fan.

well we live in Louisiana, not the US

How is it embarrassing that way more fans are excited about a game-tying home run than are excited about trailing Tennessee by 6 late in the 1st half while their guards are destroying us from behind the arc?

I said a late season conference matchup when a team is fighting for the post season is more important than game 4 out of 56 when we're playing a Southland conference team.
Besides, who gives a shite which sport is more popular anywhere else? We love baseball more than basketball; why should we give a damn about what other people like more?
The only problem here is some LSU fans so obsessed with what other people think that they are trying to tell other LSU fans the "right" way to act.

Doesn't make me not hate basketball in general.

This is a good barometer on how far Basketball has left to go to reestablishing fan enthusiasm. Brady's last 2 years & the TJ hire really set the program back. But CJJ is at least getting some interest and I expect if the class coming in lives up to the hype, it could resurge.
This. And, I don't find it embarrasing at all. Enlightening, maybe.
The LSU Basketball program has no one to blame for the fanbase apathy except themselves. This has been a terrible product for several years and people just don't care anymore. You wanna draw more "likes" than LSU Baseball, provide comparable results. When Curley reigned over LSU Football, they probably wouldn't have had many "likes" either. Perform better, over a period of time, and the likes will come.

If I actually enjoyed watching basketball then IWGAF, but I don't. I'll go occasionally though because I'm a good student. The Alex Box atmosphere is the best in college baseball, that makes it harder for basketball to stand out.
