FYI, if the process plays itself all the way out, penalties will be handed down in early June.

I expect Miami and the NCAA to come to an agreement MUCH sooner though.

The NCAA had a slam dunk case and fricked themselves to an extent and I think will be willing to "deal" with Miami when they wouldn't have otherwise. Really don't think Miami will get hammered. They will lose schollies, but not USC or Alabama style and no further bowl or post season ban IMO.

Also, Miami has already foregone schollies the past 2 years, so even that additionally should not be too damaging.

I think the NCAA has already said they aren't getting involved with the UNC academic scandal.

So when does the NCAA get their notice of allegations?

The NCAA had to dump 20% of their evidence. I'm sure that's an accurate self-measurement of the inadmissible evidence.

I'm fully expecting nothing to come of this.

I've heard this as well. It looks like the NCAA will get sued if they push too hard on this and likely lose that lawsuit. They'll get more but not a ton more.

Lol you mean those receipts without the UM player signatures on them? Lol

shite if that's the case anyone can walk around waving receipts in the air claiming that whatever is on it was purchased for a student athlete.

In the Reggie Bush case they had a hotel receipt with Reggie's Herbie Hancock on it, among other things.

Yep. Miami is no innocent but they're being railroaded.

This is going to be like Penn St and the Freeh report all over again.

They will be pretty sure what happened, and rely on some circumstantial evidence that isn't concrete to give in to their confirmation bias and then blast the college to save face.

Didn't Charles Robinson hand this to the NCAA on a silver platter and the NCAA just tripped all over themselves fricking it up.

I don't remember what, if any, documentation/ hard evidence Yahoo had.

I do know most journalists aren't willing to turn over their notes to outside organizations.

It's an important question though, did Robinson rely only on Shapiro?

Man this thing is getting ugly. NCAA needs to let them get away with it and try to save face. Catch them on something else a few years later.

Yeah, if I recall there was something about it mostly being cash with not too much of a paper trail. The only thing I really remember were the pics, like Shalala at the bowling alley drooling over that check standing next to shapiro

and coach Frank partying with Shapiro
