Looking for best combo of convenience (it's pretty tough for both me and my wife to get free Mon-Fri 8-6) and obviously lowest rates.

Any other advice would be much appreciated as well.
TIA guys.

New Penn Financial.

Go to Zillow and look up mortgage rates. You can read reviews on them.

Will,
Appreciate the recommendation.

Have you used them recently?

Pen Fed. Going through one with them right now and it has been a positive experience. We're currently disputing the appraisal and they have been very helpful.

Yes. About six to seven months ago.

No issues with them whatsoever.

Only charge $995 flat rate fee.

How long did the process take?
Did they require an appraisal?

About 6 weeks, though no fault of theirs. Wife and I have hectic work schedules.

Yes. Appraisal was $400.00, paid up front.

My only experience with PenFed is that I have my one credit card (no balance) and a car loan at 1.49 % through them, that I still owe on.

They offer great rates on auto, but appear to be behind on offering the lowest mortgage rate, unless it involves an ARM.

But all in all, a great company to do business with.

How much of an effect does the difference have in the rate you will get?

I just refinanced with NOLA Lending. Very quick process. Very helpful people. Paid $400 for an appraisal and that was it.
