Just to be fair, the gers fans cheering that tweet will be the same ones booing him when he plays ball in greater DFW.

because they are great fans. hamilton jilted them, the organization that went out of their way to help him in any way that they could. while i understand that it is a business, they have every right to boo him

Of course they do. They're paying customers.

That's the bottom line. Or rather, the bottom line is the bottom line.

I won't be booing him because I realize the Rangers never would have done the things they have without him, and also because tight-wad Jon Daniels never was going to pay Hamilton the money he was looking for. Can't blame the guy for taking a better contract from a team that is easily the AL West favorites.

Should he have made those DFW comments? No, but at the same time, I don't think Hamilton jilted anyone by signing with the Angels. Be mad at Jon Daniels and the higher-ups of the Rangers organization who is more focused at making additions to the stadium and sky-rocketing prices than putting a quality team on the field

I just don't understand their thinking process...we are going to let you see what is out there but we expect you to let us try and keep you at the end. To me this just does not show you have interest in keeping the player and pretty much seals the deal that they will walk.

Not smart to say what he said, but he is playing to a new fan base now and I am sure they are eating it up.

so not throwing out ridiculous deal that will become an albatross is now considered being a tightwad?

how's ARod's current deal working out for the Yankees again?

The projection systems favor them by a couple games, they aren't even close to a sure thing as West champs. Everybody was saying the same thing last year and look how that turned out.
