Television adaptation and prequel series. FBI agent Will Graham (played famously by Ed Norton in "Red Dragon") uses Lecter's expertise to catch notorious serial killers. But what Will Graham doesn't know is that Lecter is the most notorious serial killer of them all.

So it will either suck, or will be cancelled for not sucking enough

They are really beating that series into the dirt. So this is a remake of a remake of an 80s adaptation of a book? Blah.

But this would be more of a prequel, right? In the original movie (I didn't read the book) Hannibal is already captured. Here he's free and helping the detective.

So is this all new territory, in a way?

This looks like it could actually be a good drama on NBC. I'm a fan of both Bryan Fuller and Mads Mikkelsen. Definitely going to give this one a shot

William Petersen in Manhunter played the character much better.

The Freddie Loundes character (the sleazy reporter) is being played by a female.

Looks like it takes place in between Hannibal Rising and Red Dragon.

I wonder if it will be as awesome as Do No Harm?

Seriously, I have no faith in any Big 4 network, non-chick targeted drama these days.

They are too constrained by several factors to put out anything that can compete with what cable does now.
