So props are okay as long as they're used to make the actual dunk better IMO.

evans jumping over a painting that he painted of himself doing the dunk is awesome, and i don't care if people bitch about it

Would have been more awesome at the time if we had known that he painted it himself. Someone dropped the ball on that.

I liked the concept and idea. It would have been better had the dunk itself looked better.

I thought when he was prepping it that he was going to use his off hand to unveil the painting as he jumped over it, which would have incredible.

Because my mind ran away with me while he was prepping, the resulting dunk was not as impressive as what my mind had come up with.

My idea for awhile has been to make it an open invite to anyone in the NBA that wants to compete to do so. Everyone gets one dunk with one re-do - no rounds, no time limit. Best dunk wins.

You'll have guys that will pull out all the stops and you'll have some entertaining fails.

Oh I agree..I liked that dunk. It was creative and showmanship-y, but it also helped the dunk (it was an obstacle). Unlike a cape or a green armband.

Though I do agree that this would've been much, much better:

Bring in outside dunkers. Be it celebs or street ballers who dunk.

Make the NBA players want to beat them so that they don't come take the spotlight

Cancel it for a few years. Then bring it back.

Trampolines and ramps, bicycles, a little creativity more than they use now. I'd like to see someone use a zip line from the ceiling. Some risk in that apparently but at least it would be different.

Don't let the judges see what each other scored. Peer pressure at it's finest. Give less 10s and more 7/8s.

Serge Ibaka jumped from farther away than Jordan did and people weren't that impressed with it. He didn't even get a 50

Not impressive seeing 7 footers dunk. Kobe a nobody? GTFO. He was one of the biggest names in the draft. Bringing Brandy to his prom was huge news. And stop with Carter and Francis not being stars. They were both top 5 picks and hyped coming into the league. Both voted to start the All Star game multiple times (Carter got the spot over Jordan in his final year). Amare won ROY over Yao so he was hardly "the crazy HS kid from the draft". Apparently if they are not a bonafide superstar coming into the league of Jordan caliber, they aren't stars.
