Good read. I didn't know Tarantino felt that way about Ford. That is pretty upsetting. Love Tarantino's stuff but he will NEVER make a movie as good The Searchers and a few other Ford movies for that matter.

Recently purchased The Searchers on Bluray (from Barnes and Noble)...tis the jewel of my movie collection.

Wow. I'm related to that woman. No wonder I love that movie so much.

Completely agree. Most of QT's stuff is just vulgar, coked-up bullshite. It's the same corny, "dark-comedy" song and dance over and over again. It was fresh back in the early 90's, but it's long since been used up.

Okay, maybe that was a little harsh, but trashing Ford like that is just clueless.

BTW, I just got off the phone with my mom, who read this article in the Washington Post. Yup, we're related to Debbie. Interesting.

I think most everyone would obviously agree...considering Searchers is widely considered a Top 10 film and GOAT Western...

Is QT ever going to make a Top 10 film of ALL TIME?

Who's holding their breath?

I love most of QT's work but he can suck a dick on this. The Searchers is my favorite western ever and one of my favorite movies ever.

Wow, Tarantino.

Django Unchained is about 10% of the film The Searchers is.

Once Upon A Time in the West>>> THe Searchers

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly >> The Searchers

Dont get me wrong...I really loved the movie...but lets not act like its a top 10 movie all time...

The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance was better as well.

Are you shouting to the world?

Because you're a lone voice compared to most critics, historians, directors and movie buffs.
