Baseball HOF question

Why the hell do they close before the game is over? Why not stay open even a little while after the game ends? I mean at least 30 minutes.
Tried to go today but it was closed. I realize I can go another time and will. Just found it odd.

Great point. They have the plaque on the outside but yes, you'd think they'd have a display for him.
