Good restaurants on the way to Marksville

I'm taking a trip to Paragon in Marksville today, coming from Baton Rouge.
Anyone have some restaurant recommendations? My route will be 61N to 1N. I'd rather not eat at the casino.

Catfish is some of the best I have had.
Meat pies w/ pepper jelly rock as well.

agreed...I just can't get over how good this place is...it has become a staple in my homegame travel stops....
I would alter the route and take 190 to 71 and then cut across to marksville just to eat there...

I love pepper jelly and I think it's under the radar more than it should be. How do they use it with the meat pies? First I've heard of it used with those.
I went to a wedding last month and one of the things they passed were cheese straw like crackers with a dollop of pepper jelly on top. So simple, but so tasty. So, I came home and made those and did the same thing. Addictive.

Satterfield's serves it on the side with their meat pies.
