We won the SEC last year and lead the SEC in runs scored. I'm not a diehard Javi supporter but I don't hate him. I think he makes good adjustments at the plate but gets a shite ton of blame and not enough credit when we come out vs. a stud like Roth in Columbia last year and hand him his first lost of the season on our way to an SEC title. Our approach at the plate that day won the game.

Because idiots follow the herd. Once something like this takes off, it is hard to stop.

Because he isn't a good hitting coach and he was given that job with zero experience instead of going out and finding the best hitting coach we could find. Turns out, he's Mainieri's godson, weird.

Bad rap vs. bad wrap
A bad wrap is an unappetizing sandwich made of fillings wrapped in a tortilla. A bad rap—otherwise known as a bum rap—is dishonor resulting from false accusations or trumped-up charges. No hyphen is needed in this noun phrase.

There’s also bad rep (where rep is short for reputation—an abbreviation that dates back centuries), which makes more sense than bad wrap. To have a bad rap is to have a bad rep, but bad rep appears only rarely, and some readers might interpret it as a misspelling of bad rap.

The rap in bad rap is related to an American sense of the word dating from the late 18th century—namely, a reprimand or a criticism. It’s closely related to the rap in rap sheet, which refers to a list of one’s past criminal offenses. All these senses of rap probably descend from older senses relating to blows and strokes delivered as punishment. The fact that rap sounds like rep might also have contributed to the modern sense of bad rap

The second plausible connection to "wrap" and the phrase "bad rap" comes from the definition regarding figurative phrases "referring to concealment of disuse, as in under or in wraps, concealed; in abeyance; to take or pull the wraps off, to disclose; to bring back into use" ("Wrap," def 4 XX: 602). The basic idea of keeping some secret or criminal activity "under wraps."

We were 7th out of 12 in the league in runs scored in SEC only games. Our cupcake filled OOC schedule really helped push that up to make it look better for overall last year.

Javi is just very under qualified and is a terrible 3B coach, which thank god he's finally gone from there.

We get a lot of hitting talent at LSU, he shouldn't have a problem producing good offenses.

You got it down there accurately.

So many of the Pumpers just love to spew out the "H" word. I don't think anybody actually hates Sanchez. Dude just isn't that good of a hiting (Or base running) coach. Got the job and keeps the job because of the entire Buddy Buddy thing. (Not going to say the entire BBQ BBQ thing) A program of this stature deserves much better. Mainieri went out and hired a great pitching coach in Dunn, but is still playing the "Baseball Tepper" two step with Javi. Let's see what happens the rest of the year.

Gift wrap?

Sandwich wrap?

Evening wrap?

Moby wrap?

Saran wrap?

Body wrap?

Which kind of bad "wrap" did Javi get?

I don't have bad feeling towards him . He is not working out as batting coach! This is what happened last year. We constantly hit into double plays and could not get timely hitting. I wish him the very best but he needs to coach another area on the team.
