had a friend volunteer to watch our older kids and let me and my wife go on a date (of course with our newborn) for lunch. looking for some suggestions in prairieville/baton rouge area. not sure what we are "craving". she mentioned something about a good hamburger and i was thinking about sushi or hibachi but am down for anything..i was also thinking about a steak. kinda thinking about something under the radar instead of the normal places like outback, logans, roadhouse, etc...

TIA!!

Koto- best nigiri/sashimi
Sushi Yama- best rolls
Ichiban- this would be my 3rd choice

Hibachi at either Koto or Ichiban.

ruths
flemings
stroubes
little village downtown
ruffinos

you gotta be trolling right? No good parent would take their newborn out to a restaurant and risk exposure to all those germs.

Bravo. I'm pro-breastfeeding. Not that my opinion matters on what you do in your personal life.

Nothing bothers me more than people who get "offended" by women breast feeding in public

Grow the frick up

That's something some idiot like Rouge would complain about before he stiffs the waitress

My niece has been taking her 2 1/2 month old to restaurants since he was about 2 weeks old or maybe less. Doctor approved. We took all the kids places since birth and not a one of them broke or got a dreaded disease. They travel well, sleep through anything and aren't finicky about surroundings etc...

They're exposed to germs when they go to the doctor's office for checkups. They have good antibodies at work from that breast milk. Hell, he went out of town on a shopping trip last weekend after going to his cousin's basketball game and another cousin's softball game just like his mom did when she was born.

My niece is an excellent new mother and first grade teacher with a masters and 4.0 all through college and her masters. She's not dumb.

I think it's great you and your wife are getting a break to go out, Cenla, and with 4 older kids, I know you know the drill on caring for them.

Doe's popped into my mind for steaks, too, though I've never been there.
