Oh ok. Well I mean I've looked at a good bit of in game pictures and the weapons and armor look normal and realistic (size-wise) so I would imagine It wouldn't bother me. I don't care if my enemies have them because, well they're like demons and crap, right?

nevermind fighting reanimated dead, dragons, and gods.

you want weapons that look proportionate to the character?

Pretty much.

to answer your question, most of the weapons are standard sized. there are some large-ish two handed weapons that may get a little out of the realm of plausibility, but if you don't like them don't use them.

Awesome.

took a break from the dlc area.

I had forgotten how much I adored the catacombs.

I meant that in the most sarcastic tone imaginable, for the record.

Oh, back to your original question of feeling like the only human left fighting against evil: that's about 90% of the game at least.

Example:

You can't play the game while in party chat. Well, you can, but it makes you play offline i.e. you can't summon other phantoms to help you out

Another small thing I've noticed is that I logged in just now and look at my friends list. Usually it looks something like

player a - cod: black ops 2 - domination in slums
player b - watching netflix
player c - battlefield 3: in the menus
player d - nba2k13 Hou 25 Det 20

What I'm saying is most games tell you exactly what is going on in your friends games. Not Dark souls. Just now:

CorndogCologne - Dark Souls - playing

Thanks XBL. I can see he's playing. Where is he and wtf is he doing?

you can use private chat to talk to someone and still summon phantoms.

I did that with someone once.

makes it easier to coordinate where the other person is if you're trying to summon them in. Also, it helps to talk to figure out a strategy for some bosses.

standard party chat is a no-no though.

anytime I get the itch for BF3, nobody else is on.

that's why I've fallen back to single player focused games.

I got through the catacombs to the tomb of the giants. that is where you want to say frick everything. I didn't luck up and find a lantern prior to getting there, so I have to fumble around in the dark for a while.

Nappy and I are always down for some bf3. Shoot us a message

Oh, another thing. Don't think about "pausing" the game. You have to find a safe zone. If you're in the middle of a fight and want to swap gear or abilities... Simply: you die. When you go to the menus, the rest of the game doesn't. And you die.

going back to undead asylum to try my luck with the demon that resides there.

rage mode: [on] off

ETA: aside from the cheap shots. this shouldn't be too bad. Round 2, motherfricker.

Woooow, my knight had so much easier of a time with that guy than my pyromancer ever did.

Bridge Taurus? He's easy bro.

Draw him out. Run back and up ladder. Drop attack. Move to middle of bridge to draw him away. Run back and up ladder. Drop attack. Repeat.

Be sure to kill the archers on top first. And don't hang out on top of the column. He will jump up there and eff you up

Nm. I'm thinking of undead parish.

Undead asylum... You should know how to easily win that one corndog

nah, undead asylum is the very first area. before firelink shrine even.

you can have a rematch with the very first boss you fight if you return. you fall through the floor and fight a harder variant of him this time.

if you kill him, you get a titanite slab. I know have elite knight armor +10.

stray demon

maybe he is easier melee.... I had a bitch of a time bringing him down with my mage is all.

Anyone need some phantom help on a boss or anything later on hit me up. Full silver knight armor with a not too shabby dark knight halberd.

Right now im just past Knight Artorias in the DLC though so might take a while to get to where ever.

Pretty much. They saw how too many games were just plain run and gun through waves of enemies and didnt provide much enjoyment or actual "challenge".

They just made a game that gives you a shirt on your back and a broken sword handle to fight then throughs you into a world with nothing more than a "Goodluck fricker".

Really brings out in the masochist in you because no matter how much it hurts, you keep coming back for more.
