I searched "Marcello" and found nothing so I apologize if this has already been discussed.

There's a sign in front of the old calendars on Perkins that I'm pretty sure said Enoteca Marcello was coming. Someone told me they think they remember seeing something about it in biz report. Anyone know anything?

If so, I'd be happy as hell. One place that truly broke my heart when it closed.

That's actually a pretty nice space, with an awful stigma attached to it, unfortunately.

Not the same. It is a guy named Frankie Marcello. Not the same family that owned Enoteca Marcello's.

Well someone call Frank and ask if he'll have homebrew supplies.

Is either party related to Marcello in Lafayette? It always confuses me

No relation. The family that owns the Marcello's stores and restaurants is the Todaro family.

Frankie was running the Mandeville outpost of Mandina's. His dad owned the old Bread Basket in BR.

Was not sure what his story was. I'd heard he was from the north shore.

Here's a BR Business Report article from November, saying it's going to be called "Frankie Marcello's".

LINK

This is the first I've heard of it, though.

That is how the sign if front of the space reads, but the "Frankie" is very small in relation to the "Marcello's".

That's unfortunate. Both times I've been to Marcello's Wine Market Cafe on Kaliste Saloom have been very enjoyable.

I still don't understand why they closed the last one. I mean, if you don't want to deal with it, hire some dude to be the manager. Certainly they had they money that placed crushed it. I'm sure there is more to it than that, but shite I miss that place.

Wow, I knew Frankie when he was just one of Mitch's kids running around the Bread Basket.

Look for homebrew supplies potentially popping up at Cuban Liquor in the near future...
