Im scheduling a job interview that is competitive with others. They want me to pick from 3 days.

Should I pick the first day or last day? When is a good impression best?

I'd want to go first. If you impress them they may not be that interested in what follows.

The last candidate is the the most recent candidate. The first candidate will be compared to all the rest. The last candidate will stick out in the interviewers' minds IF you make a good impression.

But by the last candidate, they may be tired and have lost some interest. I'd wnat to be 2nd. Knock over #1 by blowing them away but still have their attention.

I was the last candidate interviewed for my position and I got hired. If an interviewer gets tired and loses interest in candidates at any point in an interview process, then I don't want to work for them anyway. That shows no work ethic and is unprofessional. Imagine how they'd treat you as an employee if they disrespect you during the interview process. When I was looking for my current position, I was turned down many times. I took it in stride because I knew I didn't want to work for someone who didn't want me.

Doesn't really matter. If you're one of the finalists they're serious about you.

When interviewing, I always picked the first time (or day)...It shows that you're anxious to talk to them and want the position.

Go first. Then when other people answer questions similar to you, the interviewer just kind of tunes it out because they heard it before. The first person seems more original and less robotic compared to everyone else because what they say is fresh.
