Never had trouble with s300s. A bit of trouble with x100s, but not those.

Just got rained off. +4 thru 9

FML

And it was wet to begin with. I'll just clean these damn clubs and watch people play golf on t.v. for the foreseeable future.

Congrats on the AP1's.

The 6'7" guy that won D is who I was talking about playing with yesterday. He said everyone was pissed he shot 88 and left before taking pictures.

Thanks brah... This will be my second go round with them and I shouldn't have gotten rid of them in the first place. I always think the grass is greener with new equipment

I'm not sure the handicaps for the d flight but that's not a terrible score .. It was like 35 degrees when i got there in the morning and blowing like 15 mph ... The greens were not the best either ... In fact they sucked ... At least that is what I am telling myself after four three putts ... And that number 7 hole can kiss my arse

Besides that, I had a great day

Seriously man, there's no way to get any momentum goin' around here. Between the soggy arse course, and the shitty weather, I'm gonna just start bowling.

Saturday was ridiculous. The range at oakbourne is faced so that everyone was hitting into the wind. I had to crank everything I had on a 6 iron to go 140 lol. I've never hit into wind that strong.... The ball just dead stopped mid flight. Had to be at least 30 mph gusts.

I was hitting next to a young kid, who had a really nice swing for his age/size. He had to hit 3 hybrid to get to that 140 flag

20 and above. He started out crappy at 49, but got on a roll on the back for 39. He's rightfully placed in D. They just got mad because he can MASH. Legit 300+ driver. I mean...he's 6'7".

I upgraded to Titleist AP2's with the DG S300 shafts a few months ago, probably in November. I was using AP1s but wanted something with a little stiffer shaft.

After a few months of giving them a chance, I just can't do it anymore. Those shafts weigh a ton, and it feels like I'm swinging a 2x4. I can't feel the clubhead and I can't load the shaft to save my life. Anybody else ever play these and have the same problem?

I'm going through the same thing right now. I've had the AP2s for almost 2 years now, and I've noticed my distances have been about 5-10 less than what I upgraded from. I just rolled with them until I got frustrated enough to see if I needed something else. Sure enough, they're too heavy and a tad too stiff for me. The Mizuno shaft optimizer fitted me for the Project X 5.0 (Flighted 5.5) or the Dynalite Gold XP S300. I'm looking at going to AP1s or trying out the new Callaway X Hot Pros. I have a 6 iron demo of the X Hot Pro and it goes a mile, but that's probably because it's 27 degrees.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you get for your AP2s on Ebay?

Thanks for the reply! Yea, I thought that it was just me and that I should give it a while with the S300s, but my iron play has been horrible... it felt like I was swinging rebar. The Nippon 105T shafts (which are what I am getting again in the AP1) are a little soft, but not too soft. If you don't swing to "jerky" the ball will go a mile.

I sold my AP2's on eBay for $420 (incl. shipping) and they sold within 10 minutes of listing. Titleist clubs have extremely high resale value, especially if they are in good shape.

This was my listing:

That's good to hear. I have 4-PW, so I'd expect a little less than what you got, but that's pretty decent resale value.

I'll look into it. I have a pretty smooth tempo, so that shaft would probably work fine. The Dynalite S300 I was fitted for actually comes stock in the AP1s, so I'll probably go with that if I go that route. I'm leaning towards Callaway right now though. We'll see how things work out once I get on the course with the demos.

Was looking at the Callaways but decided to save the money, it ain't the clubs it's me. I probably should practice some and not take month long breaks between rounds.
