Giving my notice today

Doing it at 10am, boss is on west coast so it will be 8 there

I already have the email ready. Should I send it before, during or after the call to the boss? I was going to cc HR

+1. Nothing seems shittier than getting a letter out of the blue. I'm sure a call after the fact would be ok, but either give it to them simultaneously in person or after the fact.
