Why did Alex Hurst quit?

Why didn't Russell Shepherd touch the field in the chicken bowl?

Anybody have legit answers, not just what you think happened?

"I'm trying to coach the guys that are on the team that are going to play in the game,'' Saban said. "We've got a lot of good football players on this team, and I'm here to tell you, it's time to move on. All right? It's time to move on. You got it? It's time to move on. I ain't answering any more questions about it.

"Guy didn't come to practice for three days. I've got nothing else to say about it. We're moving on. You got me? Moving on. I don't care if he's around school ... I don't care. We're moving on. You got it?''

I assume Saban had someone check on James to see if he was OK and alive? Wouldn't put it past Saban to not care and not know if he was kidnapped, had a seizure, went off the road in a bayou, etc.

Yeah, you can't really help someones personal problems.. and that's their own business. Of course naturally we like to know, but it's all good. The line got good youthful experience in because of it and really seemed to come together moving forward.

RS, Who knows.. but still disappointed with his A&m comments. Just being real. Oh well. Wish he could have had a greater impact on the field, but I wish him the best.

Guarantee Russell Shepard could have picked up that 1 yard against Alabama from their 32 yard line and LSU would have gone in to score LSU would have been in the SEC Championship game and National championship game, instead Les Miles put Spencer Ware under center and ran into a pile of dust. Les Miles was the problem there, not RS.

There you go, alumni80 guarantees it! But Penrod guarantees he wouldn't have.

And just how could you guarantee this?

Cause he just isnt very good. Maybe he was misused, but in the role he had on the team he just was bad at it.

extremely tough, emotional, personal situation involving family. He had to take care of those issues which were bigger than football. Just know this, he didn't quit on his team like many people are assuming.

The last sentence I typed about Alex Hurst does not apply to RS10.

Well aren't you just the little dreamer.

How can you "guarantee" Shepard would have picked up one yard in the spot?

Bama was the worst called game on offense since Les has been at LSU. With Cam coming in maybe we will be less predictable. Anything would be better on offense than last season.

Jesus Christ. Yeah, I guess that's why we held the ball for 40 minutes, gained 435 yards on offense and Mett had his best game in an LSU uniform throwing for almost 300 yards.

Alex Hurst was personal. If he wants to tell we'll know. Move on

Shep could have been a great player on many teams, just not LSU's. Our offense did no allow for a Shep/Harvin/McKnight..ect... type. Although I hope someday it does. MOST college football teams are realizing in order to be sucessfull on ofense you need these type of players and schemes.

Nick Saban says that he disagrees with this statement.

P&G86, I don't think that cat watched the game. Or looked at highlights, or even a box score/stats. I think he saw one play on offense where we didn't get the yard, then saw our prevent defense get beat.

Because what he said is exactly opposite of what happened in the game. He may come back saying it was a troll, but in reality he is just a dumbass.
