Yeah, it's the best time to shop there. It's the one week of the year Academy isn't beating the brakes off of them price wise.

Already managed to pick up a pair of the lews combos from cabelas. For the limited bass fishing I do it was hard to pass up that deal.

I'm in desperate need of a new tackle box/bag and this is the perfect time. Heading out tomorrow around noon with a bunch of new baits from Academy.

Is that the revo inshore? I stood over the reel counter for 2 hours before the sales guys talked me out of that and into a chronarch. Hope I don't regret that. Their clams was since I mostly target trout and some reds that I didn't need the extra power...

I bought a Chronarch a couple months ago and absolutely love it so far. I use it as my go-to speck combo right now and couldn't ask for anything more to be honest. I hooked into a 20lb drum out of my kayak and it felt excellent and controlled. I'm more than happy with all of my Shimano reels, but I think I wanna try something new for my next setup.
Here is my new Chronarch with 30lb Power Pro on a 6'6' MH Falcon Orginial. I bought a new 7' M Falcon Coastal for it a few weeks ago that is currently paired with it.

My dad's got a Calcutta 400B on a Mojo Inshore that is SAWWWEEET. I wanted to buy a St. Croix Tidemaster rod for my Chronarch, but BassPro couldn't get me one, so I went with the Falcon as mentioned previously.
