No doubt about it. I wouldn't want him at all as a long term piece.
We SHOULD be able to do a lot better in terms of assets for Gordon at a later date.

He averages 4.6 apg over his career

You were just talking trends, yes?

Problem?
Yes. Playing 23% of games in NOLA is a problem.

You seem to be assuming the absolute worst in all things Gordon here.
He has done nothing positive in 2 years.

And I'm the most negative poster on Hornets Talk....

You don't see a trend of EG being injured every season?
I'll listen if someone tells me something positive Gordon has done since coming to NOLA.

And if we trade him and he's healthy for the rest of his career, I'm sure it will be because he was a pussy and hated New Orleans.

Well, we're doing pretty well since he returned from rehab.

Trying to equate missing games for injuries to clearly declining stats is what I'm laughing at.

I hope Demps would pass on this offer
Harris is a tweener and Monta is too inefficient for my taste.

His return from rehab where he still can't play everyday and has already suffered another, different injury?

Team is +1 in net efficiency with Gordon playing. That is the biggest positive.
Should the Warriors not have extended Curry or traded for Bogut?

I know. We would be challenging for a playoff spot this season if he played.

Curry is a boss.
Bogut is this
I bet MIL is glad they aren't dealing with him and his nagging injuries year in and year out.

I'm not saying I'm against moving Gordon.
I'm just saying it makes no sense now and a lot more sense in the offseason. We can trade him anywhere you want at some point, and teams start to get a bit desperate as they lose out on the lottery, or any major players in FA. Gordon could appear "healthy" (or healthy enough) in the offseason to a team.

I'm not opposed to moving him, but I'm also not jumping at the bit to "get rid of him" like some on this board think wise.

I don't think we would be really doing it for Monta anyway...I think we would be doing it in the hopes that he opts out, just to get out from under Gordon's contract.
Which is expected, per PFT, as Ellis wants a long-term deal from somewhere even if it is for less money per-season.

Nor am I. It is really hard to get a star or a player with star potential. On the court, Gordon has star potential...his personality and injury history obviously take away from that, but the guy is a very legit basketball player.
I'm not opposed to keeping him either...but I would still definitely see whats out there this summer.
