High prices of SNES games.

The final two SNES games I really want, Mega Man X3 and Harvest Moon, are priced so high. I understand both Mega Man and Harvest Moon are great titles with a loyal fan base, but the game can't be that rare.
Just a csb, I snagged Conker's Bad Fur Day last night for the N64 for just $40.

Outside of Goldeneye, easily my second favorite game on the N64. That multiplayer was so much fun

Prime reason why I am not getting rid of my games and systems anytime soon.

Yeah, that's an impressive collection. I don't think I'll ever get rid of my copy of Earthbound or Chrono Trigger.

I remember MMX3 going for 75 and this was 10 years ago.
i was actually looking for a copy recently but im not paying that much
for some inexplicable reason there was a huge spike in the price for that game in 2012. no idea why.

I saw a copy of Chrono Trigger for 200 bucks in a pawn shop last week. Insane.
What's funny is that some newer games cost more on the resale market than you would think. Especially gamecube games since there aren't as many. I know on ebay and amazon I've tried to buy wind waker and a lot of copies are 75 dollars or more.

Banjo Kazooie for the 64 is pretty bad too.

I looked up SNES games recently on Amazon and couldn't believe how expensive they were. I was shocked.

I gotta be sitting on a goldmine then

If Gamecube games ever end up costing a lot I'm going to make a fortune.

Are there any gems like Stadium Events (for the NES) for the SNES? What are the rare ones anyway?
Posted on 2/15/13 at 3:30 pm to gjackx
Nothing as expensive as Stadium Events, which I believe was last sold over $10k. Stadium Events was published by Bandai without getting rights from Nintendo, so after it was quickly discontinued, it's rarity went up.
Any cartridge for SNES that was sold as a competition cartridge is worth a ton simply because only a handful were made.
The one I can think of off the top of my head was a Star Fox Comp. cart.

Competition carts aside, what is the Radiant Silvergun of the SNES?

I had no idea there as even a market for those old games. This is great news I had over 25 games for N64 and NES back in the day and about 12 for Genesis. I need to look through the list or at least make sure they are stored properly... If they are worth that much now imagine the appreciation in 10-15 years when I'm knocking the dust off to show my kids haha

A lot games have very little value...I'd say most. I mean, you can get a few bucks for them, but don't expect them to be worth anywhere close to what they originally cost.

Radiant Silvergun for the Sega Saturn is pretty damn costly. >$120
Damn, I read your post wrong. I have a complete version of Earthbound, which goes for about $300+. Complete Chrono Trigger's go for around $200.
