Been following since she went into surgery last night. Not looking good. Anything with small in front of it (intestine, colon) is super tough to get through as far as any surgery goes. Hoping for no colic in the next few days...

Terrible news. Aco-worker fo my wife had a small interest in her (when she was still running) not sure if he still has it though.

I am stupidly depressed over it. I stood in the rain to see her up close in the oaks at fairgrounds. She's the first horse I absolutely loved since Sunday Silence.

Used to always be my avatar on here.

I've got a framed picture of her winning the ky oaks signed by Calvin in my dining room

Seems that no news is good news overnight.

Good luck. They're probably giving her better care than most people get, given the type of money involved.

My comment was fairly tame, but still very callous. My sister in law is a big horse enthusiast, and I imagined what it would be like if I said something like that to her about a horse she cared for.

She had trouble giving birth last year, if she survives this, they should not breed her again. I hope for the best for her. A great racehorse.

Damn. My GF loves Rachel. She'll be heartbroken if she doesn't pull through.

I'll take Afleet Alex. Hope to make a trip to see him one day.

She seems to be doing ok today. Much happier, they say. Anything internal is So touch and go. Horses are so fricking fragile.

And cases of colic are high after surgery :(

That's why my preggo horse spent a weekend in icu after showing discomfort. frick colic. Thank god no surgery.

Bad news, she's carrying a big baby

Do you mind telling me your horses name? My wife is a vet there and may have treated yours.
