The rankings I posted were from Rivals, it's not as if there is a huge difference.

Who can we compare Martin, Mickey, and Quarterman to that plays in the NBA?

While this is an extreme comparison, a lot of people would compare Martin to LeBron. Similar height, Martin is very athletic and while not a great shooter, he's very good for a big.

I've also seen comparisons to Carmelo. If Martin is half as good as those guys we'll have ourselves a really good player.

I could be off base a little but how about this comparison

Quarterman reminds me off Michael Carter Williams or Dion Waiters. Mickey maybe Paul George? But maybe I'm off base. Martin I'm not sure who

Hard to say who Quarterman is similar to since there is limited film out there on him, but Carter Williams is a decent comp as far as physical attributes. Mickey reminds me more of a slightly shorter CJ Leslie, and he definitely can't shoot like Paul George.

Martin said his game resembles that of King James, and his stats kinda prove similar.

26pts, 16rebs, 5ast, 4blks - PER GAME

Malone won't be THAT bad. I expect by the end of his career at LSU for him to be a solid starter.

They're seriously bringing in an entire line-up of players, and all of them seem to be studs. It's just appalling the way Calipari can land kids.

People will freak out some when I say this, but it's not an insult. His first year will be rough, but I think he could be the level of Del Piero is this year his first year playing. It will just be really tough for a guy still maturing to jump up to this level and expect to do much, but being so tall, he can really affect the game a little at least. After a year or two of developing I think he can and will take his game beyond what Del Piero is this year, but never be that Justin Hamilton type.

That's kind of what I said.

I think it would be awesome if we could RS Malone and bring him along slowly. Kelly Olynyk from Gonzaga is what I hope he turns into.

We really dont need him for next year and I think a redshirt would do him wonders. I think the best he could do basically like what I said is a Del Piero type his first year because of the competition difference and his maturing still to go. Del Piero at times can give us some solid minutes but also look like the tall klutz he is at times. We kind of never know what we'll get form Del Piero in a game or sometimes one half to the next.

So you think he'll end up being an in-between guy?

I also hope he redshirts as Hammink should have this year.

in-between in what way, just want to make sure I know what you're talking about exactly

Yeah, Hammink has had a disappointing year, and I think a lot of that has to do with coming from the competition he was playing against as well overseas. It's really tough to come from overseas play to college bball. Hammink has a really solid base though, listed at 6'7, 205 but looks more like 220-225 right now. He can turn into a good player down the road, but needs development and time against this kind of competition.

But how awesome to watch is it when he goes on those little 3 minute bursts of points, rebounds on both ends, and blocked shots at a frenzied pace. He gets so hyped up you can see the genuine confidence building in him.
