Don't get sushi you can get that anywhere. Go to waterfront. It's easy to find and really good food.

Rawz is the best Sushi/Thai place in town according to my wife who likes that sort of thing. Waterfront is not far at all off your beaten path though.

Get the spicy mango salad at Rawz. Heat level 5. Low carb and awesome.

if she would have laid a lip on one of Magics RB poboys, she'd be planning her dinner place in the Mecca right now..

Decided on Magic Grill just because it was the easiest option. Exterior made me nervous but inside was normal mom n pop diner. I almost felt comfortable enough to sit in there by myself. Granny at the counter said I should try the poboy or burger. I got the burger, and turned out to be my favorite kind...the greasy spoon burger! Now i feel carb bloat and will have to go to the gym!

mmmmmmmmm...

This thread has me thinking. I lived in W.M. for 5 years and although people from South Louisiana will often bash anything food related north of Alexandria - my overall "food expirience" up there was great. I just had to find the right places (and I'm not talking restaurant row off of I-20 in WM).

I just had to give my 2 cents. NELA has some really good places to eat. You just have to know where they are and not be afraid to go a little out of your way to get there.

Nice.

My fatass gets the Master burger once a week. Two half lb patties with Swiss cheese and shrooms.

i don't really understand why you would have needed other people with you? Cotton is a bit more formal than laid back Waterfront, especially at lunch,, but really everything in Ouachita is kinda unformal.. Waterfront would have been perfect for table of 1 or at the bar...

I would love to be up there sitting at the bar having a cold one right now instead of at my desk.
