Went to Wayfare on Sunday and got the pork belly sandwich. It was pretty good. Dunno if it was worth $13 but it was good.

No. Menu kinda looks like a poor man's Butcher. I think I'll check it out this weekend for lunch or something.

Think I suggested that place to someone last week. Think person in question went to some Hipster burger joint. I'm curious about the place, but it seems like an odd place for their cuisine. Looks like butcher but on Freret, not a real strong area for a quick business lunch.

You sound a little butthurt that you had to work that day.

Yeah I don't know what crowd they're going for. Prob Tulane kids. Like I said, I'll give it a shot for lunch probably on Saturday.

I went Saturday. I like the vegetarian and fish options. I haven't been to Butcher since I quit eating meat.

Love the space. Thought it was funny they had their own version of the sweet potato habanero sauce from Butcher.

We had the bruschetta, the salmon salad, and the tomato basil soup. Total was around $28. Everything tasted great.

Workers all friendly. Patrons were a mix: a few hipsters, more young professionals, and a couple of middle agers like us.

Would definitely go back.

I hit it up for lunch today to try it out. The interior is very nice. I got the Knuckle sandwich and a side of quinoa and kale. The sandwich was decent, though a little too heavy on the horseradish. The bread was really good. The side of quinoa was cooked perfectly and tasted great. A little more than I like to spend for lunch. Total was $15.

They also look to have a decent beer and wine list.

Yeah, it looks a little too dressed for my taste also. Everything else looks good. I need to try this place soon.

They really stack that thing up. Is it difficult to eat as a sandwich?
