I specifically mentioned other sports and everyone defaults to LeBron.

Well that's a little different. He may be hurt, I don't know. But knowing he didn't want to be in L.A. in the first place and could go elsewhere next year, it just rubs people the wrong way. Rose is staying put.

It really shouldn't be though since he came back early from back surgery. He wasn't supposed to even start playing till December or January. That alone should get him a pass when it comes to future injuries and the decision to or not to play.

Another good one when we factor in what happened to RGIII.

yea, that's what I was speaking to moreso, no clue what BilJ was flipping out over, pretty weird.

Cutler injures his knee in a game. Tries to continue on the clearly injured knee, goes back in the game. Coaches decide to not put him back in. And he got destroyed. Not just for body language, he got destroyed for not trying to tough it out.

Rose says he doesn't mind missing the season/playoffs and I think he also said he will NOT play unless he is 100%, and everyone in this thread applauds him and says that is what he should do.

That's ridiculous. one guy is perceived to be a douche, maybe he is for all I know lol. The other guy is fairly likeable, quiet and humble. It's just funny to see how those factors contribute to how people view something that has nothing to do with those character traits.

I don't care either way, i just marvel at the inconsistency of sports fans.

Honestly I think he's saying this because that's what fans want to hear. Last season he kept coming back and kept going back out injured, and Bulls fans just wanted him to sit. He's also said that if he could dunk, he'd be out there playing, but he can't dunk in stride right now. That comment sounds to me like he's just not healing as quickly as people hoped coming into season.

Which really isn't surprising. I always thought early March as his likely return timeframe. But with all of the reported, key word here reported, progress he was having, many Bulls fans are panicking because he probably won't be playing RIGHT after the ASG.

In the article, he says he would love to play this year, but its no point if he's not physically healthy. And yes right.

Its different from the Dwight Howard mess because he rushed it back before being physically 100%, probably somewhat because of all the crazy expectations the Lakers had this season.

Cutlers situation is different from both Rose and Howard becaus we everything about his personality says douchebag, which throws all objectivity by regular fans out the window.

Which is what is happening to Howard right now because now he acknowledges he still isn't healthy. And he made the same mistake Rose did last year by playing through injuries which made it worse for him.

Difference is Rose tore up his knee and expectations for the Bulls regardless if he came back or not are nowhere near the ones the Lakers had.

Good I hope he does. He doesn't need to rush back and play like shite like Dwight Howard. We need him for the championship run next year anyway.
