I haven't read the booksand don't plan to do so until the series has ended. Someone made a great point on this board regarding this show once. He said there are many great books but very few great television series. I would rather enjoy a great TV series without knowing what is around the corner.

Good explanation, I enjoy the surprises in the show. I plan on buying and reading the books much later post-show

The show may pass up the books at some point if fat arse doesn't get to writing.

The only problem is that non book readers miss alot of small info. I can't begin to tell y'all how much I picked up from book 1.

Also gives you alot to speculate on things. Obviously not going to go into it because I don't even want to bring up anything close to a spoiler.

And yeah chubs needs to start writing before he kicks it

Yeah but it gives me a good reason to go back and read it and still enjoy the extra shite

Wheras if i did it the other way I'd be bored with the plot of the show and just be stuck appreciating it for the acting

I've read all the books and I'm nowhere near bored with the show.

A couple posters asked for it in another thread and I started the Season 2 thread about the same time out.

He's a great actor too. I loved him in Love Actually.

I think they casted Meera pretty well too just by the look test.

Meera looks identical to how i imagined her. The casting continues to be flawless.

And for those who mentioned that you heard this season would be crazy....you have absolutely no fricking idea. Crazy is the definition of an understatement for A Storm of Swords.

With the introduction of so many new actors and characters I fully intend to have a cheat sheet at my side to keep track of everyone.Bring it on.

I just started my rewatch of season 2...man, it must be hard to learn to speak Dothraki. Is it based off any language or completely made up?

I popped in and out during season 2 in the non-book reader thread. Now that I've read the books I'll be more involved and I get to post in the big boy thread.

The back of the books have an incredibly handy house cheat sheet.

That's been my only gripe about reading these on a Kindle. It's a pain in the rear to navigate back and forth. I have found it's easier to have a web page bookmarked with the families than to look in the "back" of my book.
