The great Georgia kicker missed a couple of FG's in the famous 2003 game in Death Valley.

You bring up the 7-6 Vandy game as a lucky win but it was one of worst losses in history as Cecil Collins got hurt that game and the rest is history.

If Vandy doesn't choke on the 2 point conversion, we lose 8-7. How bad would THAT would have been, losing both CollinsAND the game?

oklahoma did not deserve to play for the title, lsu was on a 7 game winning streak, & destroying teams. should have been lsu-usc

I don't remember the details but there was a Vandy game in the 90s when they scored at the end of the game, got like two personal fouls on the PAT, had to kick like a 35 yard extra point, missed, and lost by 1

Is that the game Cecil Collins broke his leg and became a stalker?

That wasn't lucky on LSU's part. It was lucky on OU's part ot be in that game after getting blown out 35-7 by KSU in the Big12 CG.

It should've been LSU vs USC

Since the 03 championship:

04 Oregon State (missed three extra points that would have ended the game in OSU's favor)
05 Auburn (lol Vaughn; I guess this is payback for 04 but w/e)
07 title berth (not the game, we rolled dat arse, but getting there was the stars aligning)
10 Tennessee (Counting 1, Dooley 0)
10 Florida (dat bounce)

a bottom of the ninth, two outs, walk-off two run homer by a player who spent the better part of the season with an injured wrist (wrist, right?) to win the CWS championship game? ETA: and was his first of the year, duh

That's some hollywood movie shite right there.

I think bamas takes the cake. We won our conference, if lsu didnt go, another 2 loss team would have.

Not to mention it was his first home run of the season and LSU fell behind two separate times in that game before the homer.

The only thing that was missing was a full count. Warren had to go ruin that by jumping on the first pitch.

Who on here was actually in the stadium that night? I was still in high school, but present, accounted for and in the house when Jones hit Davis. Me and two of my buddies were even lucky enough to be sitting right there in the lower level of the south endzone and had a birds eye view of the catch.

'10 Tennessee
'03 Natty(Joe Addai fumbles after being knocked silly) OU flagged for penalty. Our defense may have held their, too, but was a huge play in the first half that could have swung things.

Again, fuzzy with age, but I'm not looking it up yet. But didn't both of our SEC Championships/Sugar Bowls in the 1980s happen because we got the lucky upset result in our favor in the Iron Bowl?
