Question on CC approvals
Posted by Preys on Gumps on 2/13/13 at 6:18 pm00
My friend, ahem, got in trouble at USL for stealing Christmas decorations for his fraternity party and was charged with a misdemeanor theft, along with. 3 others, by the university in 1994. It was a plea to Theft under $100 charge. He gets delayed on background checks every time, but is always cleared. Would something like this prevent a CC permit?

I think it would depend whether or not it was within 5 years of the class.

It would be 19 years ago.

You should be fine.

My dad got his and he beat up two state troopers in college. I am in the process of getting mine and have a pretty police-involved past. None are felonies so I am not worried.
I have had problems before because someone with the same name is a serial killer in Mexico. Called the FBI and they said there wasn't anything I could do to verify I was me. So I might get deported to Mehico if I get yanked for a brake tag in BR

As long as you don't have a felony, you should be kosher.
