Who can top that atmosphere? I don't want to sleep in a tent for 3 nights.

Off the top of my head?

Wanee, Waka and Sadquatch all have it beat. I'm assuming that Bonnaroo does as well based on what I've heard but I can't say for sure as I've never been.

And you not wanting to sleep in a tent does nothing to diminish the atmospheres of other festivals. Their atmosphere is still the same and better than Hangout by miles

I've been to coachella, wakarusa, bonnaroo, acl, and jazz as well and they are a blast for sure.

I just prefer the beach atmosphere and a condo

And that's fine but I don't. You can't very well sit there and factually state that Hangout is a better atmosphere than any other festival. For one its all a matter of preference and two you're probably in the minority on this one.

Yea i'm gunna have to agree. While partyin on the beach is awesome, i'll take the waka/sasquatch atmosphere all day.

Yeah, personal preference of course.

Looking at it objectively, a music festival on a beach has to be up there though

You and I both, but that's a personal preference. I'd much prefer hangout over bonnaroo, and some people would call me crazy because of it, but I love chicks in bikinis, having sand between my toes, being in a bathing suit in the sun, and picking up women at florabama late night.

honestly, you don't need to spend 300 bucks on a ticket to do that though. just go to the beach

But I like music....

And I spent three times that, because I wanted VIP.

You don't have to sleep in a tent for a lot of festivals. Outside lands, jazz, voodoo, hell I think you can even do day passes for bonnaroo and sleep in a hotel very night. Almost all feativals have the option for you to go during the day and do hotels at night, tents are just cheaper.

Bonnaroo has by far the best late night scene

That may be true, but i can't get past the fact that there are 90K+ people there... thats just too many damn people for me.

The waka late night is pretty legit too, with 1/5th the amount of people...

"Waka" has less people for a reason: worse lineup

Also, does anyone else think the nickname "Waka" is stupid? Especially when used by tie-dye drenched sorostitutes in their Range Rovers

It's actually not bad at night.

Great late night sets typically.

Wrong, they have less people because they keep the festival intimate by putting a 20,000 cap on ticket sales.

Second, you think waka has a trendy crowd? Bonnaroo is noob fest 101.

?? Never said it was undergroud, it's been around for 10 years so im pretty sure people know about it...

But as far as first timers are concerned, bonnaroo takes the cake. And for that, i'm glad. You can have all the "tye-dye sorority girls in their range rovers" running around.

And you can take all the Camden flat-brim dread-locked heroin junkie wooks those "heady" festivals attract

Sounds like a good trade to me
