On the course, only one, maybe two, should be utilized. Having none and "gripping it and ripping it" will get you in some trouble, most of the time leading you to try and "fix" on the course.

A principle I use is a 4:1 rule, meaning for every 4 thoughts on the range, I use 1 on the course. If there are more, I will think two, but in doing so both thoughts have to be very minor.

When I'm on the course I usually just have one and it's usually hit down on the ball. If I don't I'll start to hit a lot of thin toppers. Sometimes it will be to swing in to out and avoid a slice

I just try not to come over the top.. drop it in the slot.. and compress the ball
