I think it is a crock of shite that players cannot transfer without suffering consequences. If the NCAA truly cared about their education, they would mandate that a player can transfer from Florida to Michigan instead of going to some inferior school like Central Michigan.

And don't give me the "Well, these kids need to learn to honor their commitments."

Right, like coaches with their contracts and schools with their conference alliances? Give me a break.

smaller schools would get crushed by this. they're diamond in the rough players would get taken every year by the big boys.

What was said by Davis that started the resentment towards him. I know he pulled a JJ on us but never heard what he said about the program.

I would like for Decarlos Holmes to come and explain why LSU should take Shiro.
THAT would be priceless...
Davis made a huge mistake.
He trusted Holmes, his coach. The kid will pay a price...

Some do, but PLENTY of players are in the NFL that NEVER played for big time schools.

Don't act like it would be the destruction smaller programs.

Collins yes because he was classy about his recruitment, even with his mom pulling the t.v. stuny.

If you think lying to the LSU coaching staff all the way to signing day was classy...

Would depend solely on whether or not they help my football team. Don't think either of them got the PT they thought they would at Bama or Texas. If I thought either would come in and start then yes.

He said LSU was a divided team between NORTH and SOUTH LA players

Why is this even being asked?? For Collins to come to LSU he would have to get a release from Hitler (and that ain't gonna happen). And I'm sure the same goes for Davis, just not sure if his coach is cut from the same (it's all about me as the other guy)??

As a fan I say nope. But if I were a coach, I'd do whatever I thought might help the team win - so if I thought they would contribute then yes.

Also, when a recruit changes his mind at the last minute many on here want to shame him. But once he signs he no longer has a chance to change his mind.
He is held hostage to the school he signed with, I think a one year layoff is enough punishment. But "win at any cost schools" will not release the recruit to play for a rival school...

True story. Miles will (and has) released a player to Alabama. Saban would NEVER release a kid to LSU.
