Is TD that afraid and that PC?

Here is a sample of the discussion:

From a black guy:
quote:

As a black guy I think it all comes down to If and when the black community can clean up their social ills then I think a lot of this "racism" will go away. Black people as whole face the consequences that come with that fact.

From a white guy in response:

quote:

Well that's pretty honest. I'll go on to say many whites are too lazy/scared to truly get to know blacks. Screw that. I love me some blacks and I HATE the ghetto culture.

Other comments:

quote:

Here's the thing, people can't differentiate between not liking a "culture" and not liking a "skin color".

Sure if I assume someone is part of a culture I don't like because of skin color, that's ignorant and prejudice and I think we all can admit we are guilty of that from time to time.

quote:

As a black person I will admit that blacks are just as racist as whites. But it all goes to the personality of the individual. I was raised to accept all colors of skin. If I don't like you, it's cause you're an a-hole, not cause of your skin color.

Really? Are we REALLY this scared to be real? No wonder we can't seem to move past this PC crap.

Congrats on answering your own question.

ETA: My black history month celebration thread was anchored with the quickness too.

My thread had an intellectually stimulating discussion going on about politically correct nomenclature in particular as well as Politics and The English Language (see Orwell's essay of the same name) in general, but you objected to it.

This raises the question frick you.
