Considering the number of players who have declared for the NFL draft

is LSU offering any type of Wonderlic testing help, or study hall type thing? We've had some guys lately where if it weren't for their speed and talent would have a hard time getting a job washing cars at a run down gas station.

Since you're talking about 18-22y/o's, 18-22y/o's who work their butts off supporting your school, 18-22y/o's who work far longer hours than most students, 18-22y/o's who risk major injury in doing it, I have to ask how the f*ck you have a clue as to whether they'd "have a hard time getting a job washing cars at a run down gas station?"

Wonderlic test is pretty meaningless. Completely meaningless if not a QB or OL. In fact, it really just seems like a tool people use every year to LOL @ a player, even then, Vince Young scored terrible and was drafted very very high.

They do better to focus on being faster/stronger because that's where it counts.

Marino scored 15 and Terry Bradshaw scored 16. Not monumental scores. Wonderlic results don't always translate to success.

I would hope LSU did help them prepare. We've had some shocking grades.

the wonderlic test has very little, if any, bearing on your draft status unless you're a QB or OL. Even then, it's the least important part of the combine

I would think that would be more on the shoulders of their agents. Mo's low score was due to a learning disability, or so I thought.

bullshite! Practicing football and lifting with your buddies is not nearly as hard as most jobs. Anyway, the fact that these guys work hard and risk injury has nothing to with the question he asked or the assertion he made.

First of all - the players that have declared for the draft all have agents now. They've received advances and have expert advice on how to prepare for the combine, which, for many of them will be the most significant event, from a professional and financial standpoint, of their lives - potentially 8 figures are at stake in some cases, so I think little will be left to chance.

I am certain they appreciate your concern, though.

What? You are an a-hole.

Also the wonderlic is useless. Really dropped Mo in the draft, right?

There is research that, for defensive backs and tight ends, the Wonderlic has an inverse correlation to the player's ability to play the position.

Deadspin Article re: Wonderlic

at you thinking most students at LSU work, and work hard at that. I worked, it wasn't especially difficult though. I did my job stoned every damn day (cue TM7 joke). I drank at my job as well.

Most student jobs are waiter/waitress, bartender, cook. I had very few friends work outside of restaurants which are not very difficult.

Also most students at LSU don't even attend class every day, need proof, walk in to class on a random day, then walk in on testing day.

ETA: And if these guys are as stupid as the OP is saying then they must be working their tails off just to get passing grades in college. Seeing as they can't wash cars and all... this is retarded.

Didn't PP7 make a 9 or so? It's a poor reflection of our university, so why not take the time to learn some simple math and not bring that kind of negative attention to your school?

I hate our fans.

GFY

Not everyon is a scholar. I went to school and am friends with plenty of players. I dont like it when you just assume all our players are dumb. That is ridiculous and shows what kind of fan you are.

A guy like minter busted his arse for this program and graduated in 3.5 years. Im sorry, but you cant do that if ur dumb.
