yeh, it's just sooooo hard to find good bases to raid when TH9. I'd stay at 8 as long as possible.

For realz, or are you just pulling my chain? I've read where the raiding penalty for th9 is a mofo when you haven't upgraded properly.

that's what i'm saying.
the penalty you get for being TH9 sucks. 95% of the bases between 1100-1600 won't net you jack shite.
it's much more of a grind.
plus it works the other way around as well.
When you are TH8/7/6 the TH9 players won't attack you because they wouldn't net anything.
So now, if you push too soon to TH9 without all your D upgraded, prepare to get raped.

That's what I thought. In theory, by TH9, you should be almost complete with upgrades. You can focus on attacking people with advanced troop sets.

most bases i've seen that have been abandoned are TH9

. so far TH9 hasn't been very exciting for me. I've got 2 Xbows building, who have been building for 6 days. I'm also building up an Archer Tower from scratch. At lvl 5 now. I've upgraded the lab to level 7, but could only afford to upgrade the Healer. Added a DE drill and I've upgraded the 25 new pieces of walls to pink (lvl 7). but still have the same base design because my new defenses aren't finished yet.
still need 16.5k DE for Archer Queen
need to build a 4th Wiz Tower
.....once all of that finishes and I get the new Archer Tower, Wiz Tower, 3rd Gold & Elixir Storages, and DE mine upgraded to catch up the rest.
Then then, i'll upgrade my current Mortars, Wiz Tower, Cannons, Archer Towers, Teslas, and AA.

by the time you upgrade all that (unless you spend real money of course) they will have about 3 updates out.

i know. i'm happy with my progress as long as I have 3/4 builders busy out of 5.

So I've had about 8 raids since the update and it really seems like they upped loot numbers or else I've just gotten lucky on raids. Consistently finding 500-700k total resources in the 1400-1500 trophies.

motha frickin kids trying to get that TH10 without the hard work and determination like the rest of us have put in.
