The food was good, the service was quick, the owner was very friendly. Glad to see a local place doing good work.

I've been once, live near there. It was good, nothing special.

Don't ever remember what I had because it wasn't very memorable.

Sorry I didn't go full on journalist. I own a restaurant not far from there. We went to try them out and they did a good job.

They put a catfish filet on top of the spinach and artichoke dip. It was good and different than the norm.

My kids had shrimp plates and they were loaded with food. Wife had pasta with a crab cake stack, she enjoyed it. I had a smothered chicken dish that was tasty.

Sometimes you guys on here expect too much. There's nothing wrong with a nice meal in a good environment. Don't always have to reinvent the wheel.

Big Jake's BBQ?

Love that place if it is. Your cowboy beans are great. Plus the 1/2 chickens!!!

Nooley's!!!

Went there last night with family!!!

You need to buy old Popeyes building in Dutchtown and open another one.

I need my John White fix more often.

I talked to you a couple months ago. I am the guy that owns the original photograph of the first game in Tiger Stadium, my wife worked at New Generation back in the 80's.

Both me and my wife are on diets and about every other weekend, we completely blow our diets out of the water. Last night was one of those nights. We ate 1 1/2 specials between us (minus 1/8 piece for my daughter).

We were the ones that got the kids fish basket for free because we didn't get it last time we ordered to go, it was forgotten.

Their catfish is some of the best in that area. Chef KD's is better and cheaper though

I hope somebody does something good with that building.

As for Philay's we ate there often when they first opened. We were always quite pleased. Haven't been in a while though due to me being on low carb diet

I'm glad they are still doing well. They make a great burger and fried catfish.

I've never been to Philays but I spent many many dollars in New Generation. Henry Glenn still does my home audio stuff.

Wish I still had my Pioneer KP-500 under dash cassette and my Jenson 6 x 9 Triaxials in the wooden boxes. Those Shaab boys made a fortune.

That's the one. I spent most of money there because of her. Gorgeous girl. I hope she is doing well.

Good place for what it is, the owner is willing to do whatever it takes to make your meal an enjoyable one, the food is good, they do a great hamburger (except the one time it was overcooked), excellent fried and stuffed shrimp, very good club sandwich, I have had some things on the menu that were not so great and I would simply not order them again, glad to have them around and I will continue to support them
