among the most complete and deep group we have had in recent memory.

Hill
Hilliard
Copeland
Blue
Magee?

I think they will more than make up for loss of Ford and Ware.

I am excited, but I will miss Ware. He was one of the most violent runners I have ever seen at LSU.

Does Magee get some PT?

What is the speed break down? Compared to Ford? Who gets the edge speed looks?

Ware will be missed most in the passing game

Magee is the fastest of the backs listed.

Ditto. And he was a fantastic blocker and pass catcher. QB's best friend. I think he'll be a solid pro for years.

Dump pass to Copeland and watch the big man build up some speed simultaneously knocking defenders around like frisbees.

I prefer a take it to the house type back myself (i.e. Tony Dorcett, Eric Dickerson, OJ Simpson, Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, Gale Sayers, Marshall Faulk, LaDainian Tomlinson, etc.). I realize others prefer the Earl Cambell, Larry Csonka, Jerome Bettis type backs for their violent running styles. I like to see backs make guys miss.

I would have run Michael Ford and Keiland Williams much more than they were used at LSU.

Added Keiland Williams in edit.

At times he was. Some of his hits were down right degrading to the poor LBs and DBs in his way.

I hope Magee gets some carries this year ... He is a hard nosed runner that can get the tough yards.

The one thing we've seen of Hill and Blue is that both of those kids have great ability to take it to the house. They're two of the better breakaway runners we've had in the last several years and they're going to split the load in the running game.

Which I would contend means that if we're somewhat consistent in the passing game, we should be dangerous.

I really hope hillard works hard in the offseason. He was the least effective back we had. I had high hopes for him

Att Net Avg TD Long Avg/G

Kenny Hilliard 82 464 5.7 6 71 38.7

Pretty sure he didn't fall off last season. He just didn't get many opportunities towards the end of the season. 5.7 ypc was the highest on the team last year and is a pretty impressive average. He will "bounce back"

I don't think Hillard has to bounce back, he just needs a few more carries. We had too many RB's. That's a blessing and a problem. I hope each back gets 5-7 more carries each this year. I hope Blue's knee is healed.

If we get in a bind in the 2014 season with RB depth then Brazil could always play RB, just like we moved Magee back to RB this season.
