After having a solid stable of backs for the past three years, our numbers are starting to get thin. Although I thought it was best suited to grab a back in this (2013) class, it's important that we grab at least two outside of LF for 2014. I've been searching for some of the best RB talent for next year who may have interest in LSU but can't find anyone. Your thoughts on other potentials for 2014 not named LF.

Darrell Williams from Ehret seems to be one of the leading candidates.

Sione Paleilei is also a possibility as a change of pace guy.

I think we'll also take a fullback in '14. But I guess that depends on what we do on the walk-on front this year.

not a lot of top notch RB talent in the state next season other than Fournette. Are we in the lead on some out of state backs?

Paleilei's been told just that, they want him as a change of pace. Ran a 4:37 couple weeks back, and benches 305/squats 595. Not just a scatback, he's a killer on Defense when he plays there and special teams. Very physical kid that plays with wreckless abandon.

This is what they're looking for. I know everyone thinks the coaches are hung up on just getting big backs, but mainly they want guys that will finish runs. I haven't seen Paleilei, but I've heard that about him.

That OP should have put what he wanted to know in his subject line instead of "With LSU banking on LF for 2014 class".

Yes, you are absolutely right about that but it would've been found if the OP would've actually glanced up and down the first page before creating another thread. This is the reason why there is a rule on the RB that thread titles must be descriptive and to the point. The thread that I linked wasn't, which leads to multiple threads on the same topic, which in turn pushes threads by other users to he next page. I wish the moderators would enforced the thread title rule more. I try not to start many threads myself because I don't want to chance making duplicates.

Yes he is. A poster above asked about a RB from Oklahoma and he was the first guy that popped in my mind that has interest in LSU. He said that his family is open to the possibility of returning to LA. I believe he is from Broken Arrow, OK and his family moved there pre-Katrina.

Is Khairi Clark the DT LSU is recruiting as a Full Back? I saw somewhere LSU was trying to recruit a top DT from Florida as a Full Back.

That's much bigger than what Copeland was listed at during his senior season. He would make Copeland look like a half-back if those measurements are correct.
