He wouldn't be a great fit on this team.

We also wouldn't trade for a guy that we'd have to pay a frickton of money like him

i wouldn't mind the hornets signing some who can score at the 3 spot, and he doesn't have to be a starter. Split the starter minutes between him and Aminu.

Aminu-23
FA-12 or something along those lines

Currently living in GA, I've never met a hawks fan who had something nice to say about Josh Smith.

To be fair I've only met like 3 hawks fans. GA has the shittiest pro sports fans.

Clearly havent met alot of Hawks fans then, Atlanta loves them some Josh smith, or J-Smoove as they call him, until he decides to shoot from the 3, then they go back to hating him.

Yea he's only averaging 17/9/4 with 1.2 steals and over 2 blocks a game, and that's his worst statistical year in 3 years

What a scrub, I'm glad we have Aminu instead of that joke

Like I said, I've only met a few who admit to being hawks fans. To them, he's that really good player who's attitude and play style will always preclude him from being great/winning championships.

One of them said they went to a hawks playoff game at Phillips arena a few years ago and the arena was booing him by the end of the game.

He's a small 4, not a 3.
I'm not saying he's not a good player.
I hate his attitude.
People want him to come play the 3, and that's just not possible b/c he can't gaurd any decent scoring 3 in the league. and he shoots to many jumpshots that he sucks at.
I'd rather Davis and Anderson.

Josh SMith is a perfect guy to play against the Heat when they have 4 ball handlers on the court and Haslem. He would be a good fit on a contender that needs a athletic small lineup to match up against the Heat in the playoffs.

There was a Grantland article about the lowest percentage shooters in the NBA by area of the court. Smith was the lowest in two areas. Both were long range or 3 point shots. Something like 29% from each. That's why fans get sick of him shooting 3s.

He should take shots from 10' in exclusively.

His deficiencies are no secret. But let's not fail to neglect all the things he does well. He would step in and be the best player on our roster
