You won't learn anything from the Spring game and will be asking this question again in the fall.

Are you saying the offense won't change?

It was usually Wright as the starting receiver opposite OBJ. Landry only started one game maybe.

If by wright you mean kadron Boone, then yea. Wright barely saw the field in the last 5 games or so

can this offense, with the personnel Cam has to work with, be a top 25 offense with the schedule we are up against?

no. esp since one of the main reasons an offense gets "top" billing is yards gained. imo, points scored, time of possession and red zone scoring are the only 3 offensive stats that matter. no one should give a rats arse about yards gained; yet most people seem to only care about that stat. some lsu fans will not be satisfied until we go all in on the flag football "spread" concept. 90% of them have no clue what the spread is and most can't tell the difference between the read option and the spread.

My bad Boone had seven starts to Wright's four.

Naw, the top 20 in Total O are all BCS top 20.
I posted elsewhere it's the most watered down useless stat available and full of midmajors that play nobody.
It's Gospel on Rant though.

Regardless of what happens in the spring game we will not know anything til a few games into the season.

We were questioning this offense by game 2 or three last year, If I remember correctly.

I remember when Towson's defensive players said they knew what LSU was going to do before they did it, we were in for a slow offensive year. Towson ain't bad, but would lose to everyone else on the schedule.

I'm confident some fresh blood will be able to shake the ghosts of the past which have no doubt affected decisions made by the offensive staff the past few years. No matter what anyone else says, I am gonna be confident.

That's a pretty bold prediction with what we have seen so far.

Mett's going higher. Looks obvious to me.

I think the offensive stat other than points scored that matters most as it relates directly to winning is offensive giveaways. In the NFL last year, there were eight times that committed fewer than 20 turnovers. All eight made the playoffs. In the last five years, NFL teams have committed fewer than 20 TOs in a year 29 times. Those teams have made playoffs on 26 occasions.

I can't imagine it's much different for college football.

I think you are exactly right though that offenses seem to be evaluated by yards, even more than points. Yards is probably the fourth or fifth most important statistic.
