Been close many times. Four eagles ... One almost albatross on copper mill # 4. Last time I came really close was at LSU last September on #9. Playing the tips, full 7 iron right at the pin , landed a yard to the right of the pin, back/side spun to the left, hit the pin and ended up 3 feet to the left of the pin!!

ETA: played TPC four seasons in las colinas (where Keegan Bradley first won) and played golf club of Dallas yesterday ... 87 and 86 .... Gotta work on 125 and in ...

so I was at golfsmith last night just messin' around, saw some Callaway Prototype irons (blades) in the used section. Immediately thought "Best looking irons I ever saw." Decided to hit a few balls in the monitor thing and man did they feel good.perfect draw every time. Keep in mind I am by no means a great golfer- I shoot mid 90's.They also added 10 yards a club from what I normally hit!

They were only $310 and were in great condition (looked like they had barely been hit) but they were closing soon and I decided to just leave. I came home and looked them up on ebay...cheapest set were going for $600+

did a little research on various websites like golfwrx and the hackers paradise and I ain't lyin when I say that every single person that gave reviews said they were the best clubs they'd ever owned in their life and they weren't gonna change irons again. When they were released a few years ago apparently they were going for nearly $2000...im assuming cause Callaway wasn't really releasing them to the public.

Anways, I woke up this morning and went back to the store and bought them. Figured even if I didnt want to play them I'd still sell them on ebay and make a profit. Played 18 this afternoon after only hitting the clubs a few times on the range.....best round of my life in terms of ball striking!

Needless to say...I think its pretty clear ive got the golf bug bad right now and am gonna be trying to play as much as possible Too bad I just started a job at an accounting firm and busy season is starting to pick up

Don't know how to post pics so here is a link to the clubs
Callaway X - Prototypes

This isn't my actual set I got but I saw this pic on google images and this is honestly exactly how mine looked on the rack on golfsmith

Damn!

I almost forgot. When I was on 16 at Santa Maria today, one of you tards was on 18.

You shanked your drive left, and on your second shot on 18..you peeled one off into the water from the left side of the fairway.

You brought the shaft of your club down to your knee, and I thought, "No way." Then I heard a loud snap across 16's fairway. I yelled "Hell yeah!"

You know you heard me.

eta: I was on 18 around 2:50...

You got many people with tee times today? Seems futile.

I swear beav the rain cycles here are killing the fairway roll factor. I hate trying to hit off of wet surfaces too ...

Played for the first time since Thanksgiving yesterday, got in 36 holes at Cypress Lakes (87, 81). Not bad considering the layoff and the wet conditions; no roll and lots of plugged shots. Greens were pretty nice considering. Tempted to go to the range this morning.

I think today I'm gonna watch people play golf, and drink beer on the couch.

That way the only lift, clean, and place I'll be doing is with a brew.
