Ok sweet. Now what does the league name supposed to mean?

There have been a couple rumors of Votto being gay. To make the name truly fitting, I found out he began his minor league career with seven games behind the plate. I thought it was creative.

Also, when does everyone want the trading deadline to be? I like it to be at late as possible.

So September 1st? I'm good with that.

What do you guys think of decreasing waivers to one day or do you prefer the standard two day waivers? Decreasing the dead time is nice IMO

if someone were to hit waivers at 10:00 pm on 4/7 would they be a FA at 4:00 am or whatever the new day starts on 4/8 if we decreased to one day? Because I'd rather ensure a full 24 hours to see the waiver wire.

I believe one day is at least 24 where as two day waivers is at least 48. Does anyone remember for sure?

I haven't played in anything other than a standard rules league so I couldn't tell. FYI, this is my first leap back into fantasy baseball since 2007. I'm pumped to get back in.

Welcome swam

Was a very competitive, fun league last year.

Thanks Honk, I watched from afar last year and saw there's some good managers in this league. My work load should be light enough to participate in the day to day grind of fantasy baseball. No brainer to join you guys.

The waivers are the same as a standard league. I will ask someone else on the board if they know.

Yeah, I think we have a pretty good group for this league. I have played with everyone but floridatigah (who is good in the MSB) before, and all of these guys are active.

Hahaha, usually very much for slow drafts, but I think next year would be over before a slow draft auction could be done.

does your pager go off as soon as the word slow is typed into a thread in regards to a draft or auction?

According to Gyno and this excerpt, the player will sit for a minimum of one full day. I think that is enough time and the extra day is overkill.

On Yahoo's details under commish controls:
quote:

When a player is dropped, he must remain on waivers for a set number of days before he can be claimed; that number of days is indicated by the Waiver Time setting.

Dro, glad you are back.

I think there is a chance we may get one more returning member, but I guess I should probably shoot for a 12th soon.

Yeah, it is set to OPS.

Sticking with K, since there is a IP limit (now 1400). It is unofficially K/1400 though.
