The market for slightly above average pitchers was too high IMO.

The hitters were better value late in the draft.

Even the shitty closers were pricey as frick.

ETA: I remember getting Cliff for $24 last year and beating amped about that.

Also, Pujols for $38 was a deal.

I waited on OF, started to panic, but I'm fine with how it turned out.

I paid $23 for my two closers, but I'm happy about it. Two guys I feel will be their teams respective closer all year long.

I am going to be chasing the waiver wire for saves (like everyone else) hard the first week.

One example I thought I was crazy was Ethier being cheaper than Grant Balfour and Tom Wilhelmson.

Likewise Zeph. Got Rodney & Mo and Robertson for insurance. Very happy.

Wish I would have gotten one more big bat and starting pitcher, though.

Got tight with my money towards the end.

Hopefully Profar makes the club and gains multiple position eligibility - a big reason why I wanted him.

Looking forward to do this 45 times in my living room this year

not happy with the way things turned out. I uncharacteristically went after a couple big names (CarGo & Bats), which left me with $180 for 21 players. Then I panicked & forced myself to sit out about 5 rounds. Doin that I missed out on most good SP. therefore I was forced to overpay for a couple tier 2/3 SP. I then made myself to go after a couple closers at the end so I could hang my hat on something.

I wasn't too thrilled either. It was only my second auction draft (not counting this league last year!) and in the previous I spent most of my money on 3 or 4 studs early then sat and watched great talent go for cheap. I was determined not to do that again but I think I waited too long to start pulling the trigger.

It did leave me with money to blow on closers later though, so I'll take some blame (or credit?) for driving up the prices.

I guess we'll see, but I'm not thrilled.

I was having fun bidding up all the Braves players.

And putting together a list of guys I wanted in the middle rounds.

Pretty happy with my team for my first auction and not completely knowing what to expect with the prices. Love getting Price and Lee for 29 and 24, didn't have the cash at the end for the crazy closer prices. I'm happy with one and deal with it later with waivers and trades. Only thing I don't like with my offense is the injury/PED risks. Zimmerman and Ellsbury are the only two guys I feel I potentially overpaid for.

Of course it worked out every time I got a beer or pissed players went for dirt cheap prices. Fister for 8, JJ Hardy for 1, De Aza for 3, thought those were all steals. Especially considering it seemed like players in the 10-16 range were getting way overpriced.

My number two and three starters are probably not worth a CC, but have a look. Mike Minor and ???

I like Minor. Was targeting him, you obviously outbid me, though. I'll have a look.

One of my predictions is that Minor is the Braves best arm this year.

I thought JJ was too expensive at $12, but then I saw all these far inferior SP IMO going for similar prices and I was stuck.

My pitching is uncharacteristically terrible.

I targeted Gio and Sale the whole way and was happy to get them as my top 2. Counting on Niese to pitch like an opening day starter. No idea what Chapman is doin for me yet, but I'll take him for $14 all day.
