I’ve now heard from multiple sources that the Will Beall script for Justice League has been scrapped. The story from each source is the same: it’s terrible.

Why is WB so inept? You've got the most iconic superheroes of all time in your stable and you can't get a film with all of them off the ground? All of them? Hell, I'd take some decent individual film's other than Batman.

Marvel has already given them a formula. All that have to do is get close to it.

Marvel is putting out Gaurdians of the Galaxy, Ant Man, and Dr Strange, and DC can't do anything not related to Batman. It's kind of funny.

I'll say this though, Arrow is pretty kick arse.

Yes it is. And while Smallville had it's rough spots, it was good too. Wonder Woman had a great run back in the day as well.

So that make's this even more perplexing. WB can kick arse on the television front with these characters but nada on film. Other than Reeves Superman and Batman obviously.

Good. WB needs to let Superman get rebooted and then bring back Batman in 5-7 years.

My preferences in order:
1. Solo movies for Batman / Superman
2. Batman / Superman film after both are restablished.
3. Orgin movies for Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, and another for GL.
4. Nothing happens.
5. Justice League movie.

Having a JL movie before letting another director establish their version of Batman is typical WB.

WB accidently tripped over Christopher Nolan and hit a jack-pot, other than that instance they really suck at utilizing their DC rights.

Totally forgot to mention that. They rarely miss in the animated arena.

And schexyoung just described the "Marvel Method". I would think it would be a no brainer to do it that way as well.

Agreed. The Batman and the JL animated movies are high quality. I don't know how Batman would come across in live action for a JL movie.

The Justice League doesn't have to go with the "Big 7" or original line-up. They could use several different characters.

Execs wanted a new script and to see how Man of Steel performs.

If man of steel does Green Lantern/ Superman Returns type #s, then I'm guessing you can call it quits on a JL movie.

I think MoS is going to break the bank.

They really need to start with individual films like a wonder woman or Aquaman to start the buildup towards a JLA movie.

They should tie in TDK series with MOS and go from there. Have Henry Cavill and JGL resume their roles in JL.

Not really, an Aquaman or Flash movie would tank horribly at the box office, and Wonder Woman would be hard as hell to pull off as a solo film.

If they did Green Lantern well it could make money, but I think they would have been off choosing a more gritty Lantern rather than Hal, he just doesn't mesh as well with today's audience. And that's a similar problem Superman has, but Superman is much more entertaining and able to do well if the film is right.

I think if they try and follow the Marvel strategy to the letter they will fail horribly, their original characters are too hit or miss.

They have very cool characters, but they would have to modify their style and go with characters like Green Arrow that are a bit more grey and have more personality.

Hell, the whole Young Justice series on CN is fantastic, I don't see why WB couldn't do something like that for Justice League.

WB/DC didn't do it right. Except for the series' that Marvels sold (xmen, Spider-Man, fantastic four) they built their avengers from the ground up with the intent to being them together.

WB/DC did amazing things with Batman and Superman looks like it may be good. However they are built to be in their own stories and not linked.

Wonder Woman could be the best of them all with a well-written story and director. Think Speilberg crossed with 300 and thousands of beautiful women. If they follow the origin and cast it well it will be fantastic. I'd follow the Perez comic re-boot of the late 80's and update certain things. Aquaman would be much the same with the mythology of Atlantis to fall back on and the underwater shots could be done fantastically with modern technology. Like any film, it depends upon the quality of writing and vision. With all the resources WB has at hand, I don't know why it has been this hard. Marvel's success has been kicking their butt into overdrive at least.

Pretty sure James Cameron's Aquaman was a critical and financial hit
