The key here isn't Schilling, but the Red Sox encouragement. We are keeping people out of the Hall because they did what their clubs wanted them to do. It's absurd.

Did he say that he used or that he was just encouraged to?

Wonder how much Curt got paid for the interview. The man is in desperate need of cash.

He said encouraged, but Schilling has been pointing fingers for years

Wasn't he 60yrs old throwing a 99mph for boston?

Sure he wasn't using anything

More bad news coming out of Boston:

quote:

Former Boston Red Sox closer Jonathan Papelbon, who was with the team from 2005-11, said Saturday that he and numerous other Red Sox players were regularly injected with Toradol, a legal anti-inflammatory drug whose use has become increasingly controversial in sports.

quote:

Toradol is the nonsteroidal drug that Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz acknowledged last season might have contributed to the esophagitis that sidelined him for 20 games. Buchholz was hospitalized in intensive care and lost three or four pints of blood while dealing with the condition, which is a known side effect of the painkiller.

quote:

In November, an article on the Digestive Health Institute website noted that because of the side effect of bleeding, England restricts the use of Toradol to hospitals, and other countries have banned the drug entirely.
The Food and Drug Administration, the article said, requested a boxed warning on Toradol to include the risk of life-threatening gastrointestinal bleeding. The warning states: "Increased risk of serious GI adverse events including bleeding, ulcer, and stomach or intestine perforation, which can be fatal; may occur at any time during use and without warning signs."

I've been saying for over a decade that the teams and their management not only knew about and condoned juicing, but they also actively participated in all of it.

When I said that, many people were up in arms and cried that there was no way that could be true. Naive fools.

Toradol is like liquid Advil.Nothing more. VER POTENT liquid Advil but still. It has been overused. But the physicians should be held accountable. Receiving multiple Toradol injections is equal to the idiots who always take 5 or 6 Motrin/Advil/Ibuprofen at a time. Difference here being a MD is giving it.
